Johnny Depp Launches a Book Imprint

Johnny Depp

Johnny Depp is starting his own book imprint, which is going to be a part of the famous HarperCollins Publishers. The imprint is planned to have the same name with his production company, Infinitum Nihil, which means "Nothing Is Forever". On Monday, October 15, HarperCollins said that Johnny was looking for "authentic, outspoken and visionary ideas and voices" in order to publish books under Infinitum Nihil.

In a statement released by the giant publishers, Johnny said, "I pledge, on behalf of Infinitum Nihil, that we will do our best to deliver publications worthy of peoples' time, of peoples' concern, publications that might ordinarily never have breached the parapet." He continued, "For this dream realized, we would like to salute HarperCollins for their faith in us and look forward to a long and fruitful relationship together."

In January 2013, Infinitum Nihil will launch "House of the Earth", a novel which was written by Guthrie in 1947, but has just been discovered. Bob Dylan will join forces with one of the best historians, Douglas Brinkley, on the editing process and publication.

Bob's biography book entitled "The Unraveled Tales of Bob Dylan" will be Infinitum Nihil's second project, which will be published in 2015. The book will talk about the 71-year-old legendary songwriter's mysterious life and career based on his interviews with Douglas.

Douglas has previously written Bob's covers story for Rolling Stone. He and Johnny agreed that the book imprint was a great way to initiate the series of Infinitum Nihil. The historian also commented about the "Like a Rolling Stone" singer, "Bob has been very warm and forthcoming with us. His music has inspired us both deeply since we were teenagers."

Seemingly, the "Sweeney Todd" actor's life is never far from books. He befriends Hunter S. Thompson, who is a book author. He starred in "The Rum Diary" and "Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas", the movie adaptations of the author's novels. He also became one of the narrators of 22.5 hours "Life" audio book about the autobiography of The Rolling Stones' guitarist Keith Richards.
