More spoilerish rumors about Marvel's upcoming movie projects spin
wildly on the Internet every day. This time around, some reports
surrounding "Guardians of the Galaxy" and "The Amazing Spider-Man 2"
projects have made their rounds online. Though they might be potential
major spoilers, fans should take them with a grain of salt since there
are still no official words about details of the two upcoming projects.
The rumor about "Guardians of the Galaxy" comes from ComicBook.com, which suggests that [SPOILER ALERT!]
there will be a famous Marvel hero who is set to make appearance in the
film. He is none other than Iron Man. The site says that the studio is
considering to include Iron Man in the movie after revealing a
"Guardians of the Galaxy" comic book cover, which featured a character
that looked suspiciously like Iron Man, at New York Comic Con.
However, the site stresses that the whole plan is very dependent on whether or not Robert Downey Jr. will sign a new contract with Marvel. As of now, the actor's contract is set to end with "Iron Man 3".
As for "The Amazing Spider-Man" sequel rumor, Nuke the Fridge shares the words that Andrew Garfield's
Peter Parker will have a different costume in the upcoming film. It is
said that the costume design will go back to the traditional Spidey suit
as featured in the original comic books. The studio considers the idea
to alter the suit reportedly because hardcore fans of Spider-Man "have
been screaming for an outfit with an original look."
While details of "Guardians of the Galaxy" are still scarce, the movie
is set to hit the U.S. cinemas on August 1, 2014. As for "Amazing
Spider-Man 2", the film will be released Stateside on May 2, 2014. The
sequel will see Electro as Spidey's nemesis and the villainous character
will be portrayed by Jamie Foxx.
