AllHipHop's Owner Slams Nicki Minaj for 'Anaconda' Cover in Open Letter

AllHipHop.com's owner Chuck Creekmur writes a lengthy open letter he penned from the perspective of a father.


Chuck Creekmur, the owner of AllHipHop.com, is not a fan of the cover art of Nicki Minaj's upcoming single "Anaconda". Responding to the controversial artwork, Creekmur blasted the raptress in a lengthy open letter he penned from the perspective of a father.

In the first lines of the letter, Creekmur said he was a supporter of Minaj when she was still underground. He also revealed that a few years ago, she asked him to remove a super sexy picture of her squatting down and licking a lollipop because she was changing her image.

"For moment there, I felt like I had briefly peered into the deepest recesses of Nicki Minaj's true inner self, a being that cares how this ratchet s**t affects my kid," he wrote. "I said to myself, 'Self, how cool is this? Nicki is already evolving into somebody that my daughter may get to listen to on my watch. Maybe.' "

Creekmur then began talking about "Anaconda" cover and why he thought it's a bad influence for his daughter. "I've been in the music game a minute now so I know how it goes. So, when I peeped the artwork for your latest single, I wasn't even shocked. I was just disappointed. The song: 'Anaconda'. The art: your booty in a thong. As a man, I can appreciate the virtues of your perfect posterior," he said.

"The dad guy is not a happy camper, particularly now that is lil' girl is transitioning into a young lady," he continued. "I'm trying to raise a young girl that will eventually grow into something greater than the both of us. I know that this requires great parenting, great education, great luck and an assortment of great influences. If sure you know the influence you wield but now. If you told the 'Barbs' to scratch my eyes out, some would attack without thinking about it. I'm sure some will also replicate the 'Anaconda' image without thinking about it too."

Nicki Minaj Unleashes New Single 'Freedom'

There is no doubt that Nicki Minaj is at the top of her career with a new album soon to hit the market and collaborations here and there with various big music artists. That said, the setting could not be more appropriate for the release of the rapper's new track, "Freedom", from her "Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded - The Re-Up".

In the song, Minaj looks back at the start of her crazy dive into the world of music and sends her gratitude to people who have helped her move things up to where they are now. However, the 29-year old "Super Bass" hitmaker also doesn't fail to lash out at her critics and anyone who tried to put her down.

Two weeks ahead of Nicki Minaj's upcoming "Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded - The Re-Up", twenty-seven song selections of the double CD officially come out. 8 songs will be included in the first disc and the rest will appear in the second one.

Justin Bieber and Nicki Minaj are setting the bar high for the most-viewed music video in one day. With their "Beauty and a Beat" music video that revolves around a fun pool party, the two artists have collected around 10.6 million views in just 24 hours on VEVO.

"24hr Record shattered w/ 10.6M VIEWS! No wonder @justinbieber is the biggest artist in the world!" VEVO tweets a congratulatory message to Bieber, Minaj and their armies of fans. The teen himself sends the femcee a thank-you note, "Hey @nickiminaj - thanks for being a part of this. :) #HISTORY."

Bieber released the video after pulling a prank on his fans, saying that an anonymous blogger was going to release personal footage taken from his stolen computer. The video itself takes place in a swimming pool at Raging Waters in San Dimas, California. It currently gets over 20 million views, and still counting.

Bieber and Minaj break the record previously held by One Direction. The U.K. boyband posted 8.2 million views in 24 hours with "Live While We're Young" music video.

President Obama Hopes Mariah Carey and Nicki Minaj Can Sort Out Their Differences

President Barack Obama has weighed in on Mariah Carey and Nicki Minaj feud on "American Idol". In a phone interview with radio host Michael Yo on "The Yo Show", the commander-in-chief is positive the two female judges will be able to solve whatever problem that comes between them.

"Can you repair the relationship with Mariah Carey and Nicki Minaj on 'American Idol'? That's what people want to know," Michael asks Mr President about the "We Belong Together" singer and the "Starships" femcee who are both self-proclaimed supporters of Democrat.

"I think that they are going to be able to sort it out, I am confident," Obama replies. "I'm all about bringing people together, working for the same cause. I think both outstanding artists are going to be able to make sure that they're moving forward and not going backwards."

Although Mr. President gives a very diplomatic answer, he does have a preference of the two artists. "Mariah, she's actually done some events for us. I've gotten to know her and Nick (Cannon), she's a wonderful lady," he says. "Nicki I don't know, but I've got her on my iPod."

Obama also talks about his lackluster performance at the first debate against GOP presidential candidate Mitt Romney. Justin Bieber releases a music video for his latest single "Beauty and a Beat". The video is a longer version of a short clip posted by a self-proclaimed thief who said he/she had obtained the singer's personal footage from his stolen computer and camera.

It shows Bieber having a pool party with a bunch of shirtless guys, scantily-clad ladies and Barbie-looking Nicki Minaj. It opens with a tag that reads the video "was illegally uploaded by an anonymous blogger" after three hours of his personal footage was stolen.

Words soon run rampant that Bieber made up the theft claim. It's fueled by the fact that the alleged thief, @gwexy, is none other than himself. "My publicity stunt worked, got more attention than i ever imagined. all my BELIEBERS figured me out Clever people!hope you enjoy my new vid!" so he tweets.

On his own real page, he explains why he pulled the prank, "since i was 14 i have had a lot of things said about me, from dying, to taking hormones, to dying again, to stuff about my family... to saying i had a baby with a woman i never even met. nude pics, drugs, my family, my character...but today...today i get to be in on it..."

When people start to get a picture of the whole situation, Bieber's rep makes a contradicting statement that the laptop Bieber talked about was indeed missing. ''Be very clear, the laptop was indeed stolen in Tacoma. That was NOT a hoax (sic)," says Melissa Victor.

Bieber's tour manager, Josh Williams, filed a report with the Tacoma Police Department on Thursday, October 11, while the singer himself claimed they lost the laptop on Tuesday while he's performing in Tacoma. "Really sucks. people should respect other's property," he tweeted back then.

A police spokesperson, Mark Fulghum, does confirm there's a report filed, but he's unsure cops will launch an investigation. They are not happy about it, believing it's indeed a ploy to call attention to Bieber before the video premiere. ''A lot of people got played. It became a big media frenzy, so I guess that was the idea," he says.

Stevie Nicks apologized to Nicki Minaj for her rude words. To The Hollywood Reporter hours after showing support for Mariah Carey in the feud of the two female judges, she said that she was so tired at the time of interview, which caused her temper to arise.

"I want to apologize for my remarks about Nicki Minaj's behavior toward Mariah Carey which I said during a long and exhausting day of interviews," she stated on Tuesday, October 9. "It was very out of character for me and I deeply regret what I said," she continued.

Later, she explained why she was in Mariah's side, "I feel very protective toward Mariah Carey who has gone through many difficulties in her life and I spoke without thinking." She then apologized once again, "I think all artists should be respectful toward one another and that includes me. I am truly sorry."

Previously, the "American Idol" ex-coach threatened to choke Nicki after learning the rapper said that she wanted to shoot Mariah, "How dare this little girl!... To tide fans over the upcoming release of "The Boys" video, Nicki Minaj shares a new picture from the clip. Posted on her Twitter account, the image features her in a racy pose as she appears to be nestling between the legs of her duet partner Cassie.

The Young Money femcee filmed the clip in September under the direction of Colin Tilley, who also shot the music video for "I Am Your Leader". In a behind-the-scene video, the "Starships" hitmaker is seen sporting a candy-colored outfit while walking around a cartoon-themed neighborhood. The music video hasn't got a release date, but the "American Idol" judge promises to release it soon.

The battle to win 2012 American Music Awards begins as this year's nominees are announced. Nicki Minaj and Rihanna dominate the pack by scoring four nods each, overshadowing teen heartthrob Justin Bieber and popular boyband One Direction. The males get three noms each along with Drake, Usher and Maroon 5.
